What is DGU glass?
A DGU (double glazed unit, also called an insulated glass unit or IGU) is two panes of glass held apart by a spacer and sealed, with an insulating cavity between them. CLSG builds DGUs with toughened or laminated glass from Saint-Gobain float, in Sonepat, Haryana.

What is DGU glass?
DGU glass, or a double glazed unit, is two panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed around the edge, leaving an insulating cavity between them. It is also called an insulated glass unit (IGU) or double glazing.
DGU vs laminated glass: which is better?
They do different jobs. A DGU insulates against heat and noise through its sealed cavity. Laminated glass holds together when broken. A DGU can use laminated glass as one or both panes to get both benefits.
Can a DGU use toughened or laminated glass?
Yes. We build DGUs with toughened or laminated glass, in clear, tinted or reflective, using Saint-Gobain and Emirates Float glass.
Does DGU glass reduce heat?
Yes. The sealed cavity slows heat moving through the window, which improves thermal comfort and helps energy efficiency, especially with tinted or reflective outer glass.
Does DGU glass reduce noise?
Yes. The two panes and the cavity reduce outside noise compared with single glass. Using laminated glass as one pane helps further.

Sizes, spacer widths and gas fill are confirmed for each order. Send your window sizes and we will quote the build.
Is your glass BIS certified?
Yes. CLSG is certified to BIS IS 2553 and IATF 16949 for its toughened and laminated glass.
