Toughened or laminated glass for partitions?
Toughened glass suits most office and home partitions; choose toughened laminated glass where sound reduction or extra safety matters. Toughened glass, also called tempered glass, is 5× stronger than raw glass and breaks into more than 50 small blunt pieces per 50 × 50mm. Laminated partition glass keeps broken pieces on its interlayer and reduces more sound between rooms.
That makes laminated glass a good fit for meeting rooms, cabins for senior staff and partitions beside busy corridors.

Which glass finish gives privacy in a partition?
Frosted and fluted glass give privacy while still letting light through; clear glass keeps an open view. All finishes are made in toughened glass, cut to size before toughening.

How do you order toughened glass for a partition?
Send us the total width and height of each wall, the number of panels, the door positions and any hole or cut-out drawings. We split long walls into panels up to 2400 × 3660mm, cut, drill and edge each one, toughen it at our Sonepat plant and dispatch it PAN India. Toughened glass cannot be cut after toughening, so final sizes come first. CLSG is certified to BIS IS 2553 Part 1 for architectural safety glass. Related: glass doors and shower glass.

Is your partition glass BIS certified?
Yes. CLSG is certified to BIS IS 2553 Part 1 for architectural safety glass, so our toughened partition glass is safety glass. We are also certified to Part 2 for road transport glass, and to IATF 16949. Our float glass comes from Saint-Gobain India and Emirates Float Glass.
Where do you deliver partition glass?
We deliver PAN India, dispatched from our plant in Sonepat, Haryana. There is no minimum order for toughened or flat laminated glass, so you can order glass for a single cabin. Send us your sizes and city, and we will quote the glass with transport.
What is the maximum size of a toughened glass partition panel?
The maximum single toughened glass panel we make is 2400 × 3660mm, in thicknesses from 3.2mm to 18mm. Longer glass walls are split into several panels joined in channels or with patch fittings. Send us the full wall size and we will suggest the panel split.
